CSR/Smart Hiring Program
The next recruiting period for the Hotel Training Institute will start in February 2009. To attract assistance from the hotel industry, the Hotel Training Institute (HTI) has begun to embark on a scholarship program called "CSR/Smart Hiring Program".
CSR stands for Corporate Social Responsibility, meaning the responsibility of a good company to help society. HTI encourages hotels to sponsor students who wish to make a hotel job a career by offering scholarships to them. The expense incurred from offering scholarships is tax deductible at the end of the fiscal year. This tax incentive is supported by Labor Law.
The CSR/Smart Hiring Program is the first of its kind in Thailand. As an initiator, the HTI is entering the program for competition in the Thailand Tourism Awards/Tourism Support category. We hope to receive the award or at least reach the final level.
