Poseidon Beach
The Poseidon Beach is the nearest beach from the BSfL, it is approx. 10 minutes away. There are lounge chairs and parasols available free of cost and it is ideal for bathing. Drinks and simple, tasty Thai dishes are for sale directly at the beach and there is also the possibility of getting a massage in a small bamboo hut at the beach.
Small Sandy Beach
The Small Sandy Beach is a very peaceful beach, which you can reach in a 15-20 minute drive or in a 10 minute walk through the rainforest. It is a part of the Lam Ru national park and therefore an entrance fee of 100 THB per person in the high season is required. Since there are only a few tourists and locals visiting the beach it is also very quiet in the high season. For Refreshment, there is a small snack bar where drinks and fruits can be purchased.
Nang Thong Beach
Nang Thong is a long beach directly in Khao Lak, where many Hotels and Restaurants have settled. The beach is accordingly busy and there is a large assortment of international and Thai cuisine. The Nang Thong Beach is 3 minutes away from the centre of Khao Lak and 25 minutes away from the BSfL.
Bang Niang Beach
The Bang Niang Beach is a beautiful long beach that invites you to bathe and take long walks. It is not even a half an hour away from the BSfL and offers the (partly free) use of lounge chairs and parasols. There is a variety of restaurants and the possibility of massages in bamboo huts at the beach.
Bangsak Beach
The Bangsak Beach is a long, lonesome white Beach that is perfect for bathing and long walks. There are no lounge chairs provided here, but you’ll find a lot of trees, which provide enough shade. The beach has small restaurants with Thai cuisine and is approx. 40 minutes away from the BSfL.
Merlin Beach
The Merlin Beach is 15-20 minutes away from the BSfL and is found in front of the serpentines of Khao Lak. At the beautiful beach there are plenty of restaurants that invite to a cosy dinner.
Thai Muang Beach
The Thai Muang Beach is approx. 25 minutes away from the BSfL and is ideal for long walks. There are a lot of good Thai restaurants at the boardwalk, in which you can have a relaxed meal. Furthermore, the beach is only a few minutes away from the centre of Thai Muang and the temple Tha Sai. Unfortunately you have to refrain from bathing due to the strong undercurrent and the closeness to the temple.
